Resources
Clear, practical tools to implement new technologies in your next project.
This Industry Guidance Package is the first of a series of resources developed by ProspectSV and its partners. The information below was produced independently by ProspectSV and our research partner Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, with the help of technology partners and technical advisors from the Engineering, Architecture, and Real Estate Development industries. The resources were created based on the results and key takeaways from our demonstration of Flow Environmental Systems’ ANSWR CO₂ Heat Pump, but many components are applicable to CO₂ heat pumps in general. We’re grateful to all who provided their feedback and expertise, including DMG North, Alter Engineers, IDeAs Consulting, Sharp Development Co., effecterra, Avida Energy, Point Energy Innovations, and Guttmann & Blaevoet.
CO₂ Heat Pumps for Large Commercial Buildings
Resources based on results from a demonstration of Flow Environmental Systems’ ANSWR CO₂ Heat Pump in Berkeley, CA.
One System. Heating, Cooling, and Hot Water. All Electric.
Funded by the California Energy Commission, ProspectSV, DMG North, and Flow Environmental Systems embarked on the first-ever U.S. installation of Flow’s ANSWR hydronic CO₂ heat pump at Berkeley Lab’s FLEXLAB®. The results confirmed a market-ready, all-electric pathway to replace boilers, chillers, and DHW equipment in large commercial buildings.
These resources translate those findings into practical tools for your next project, including:
Performance data
Financial analysis
Technical specs
Design resources
Communication tools
