Resources

Clear, practical tools to implement new technologies in your next project.

ProspectSV and its partners developed resources to translate real demonstration results into practical tools for your next project. The guidance focuses on emerging decarbonization technologies and is based on completed and ongoing projects. This work was produced independently with support from technology partners and technical advisors across engineering, architecture, and real estate development.

Resources are free to download. We ask for a few details to understand how our tools are being used and will send any updates to you as they are available.

Project Summaries

CO₂ Heat Pumps for Large Commercial Buildings

Resources based on results from a demonstration of Flow Environmental Systems’ ANSWR CO₂ Heat Pump in Berkeley, CA.

One System. Heating, Cooling, and Hot Water. All Electric.

Funded by the California Energy Commission, ProspectSV, DMG North, and Flow Environmental Systems embarked on the first-ever U.S. installation of Flow’s ANSWR hydronic CO₂ heat pump at Berkeley Lab’s FLEXLAB®. The results confirmed a market-ready, all-electric pathway to replace boilers, chillers, and DHW equipment in large commercial buildings.

Power Management Systems for Multi-Family Housing

Resources will be based on results from a demonstration of smart panel and battery upgrade to multi-family housing developments across California.

Expanding Electrical Capacity and Improving Resiliency

Funded by the California Energy Commission, ProspectSV, Danco Communities, Redwood Energy, and Berkeley Lab demonstrated how distributed plug-in batteries and smart electrical panels can enable full electrification of multifamily units without expensive panel upgrades. Full results coming soon.
