Gordon Ho

Partner, Cooley LLC


Gordon Ho is a partner in the Cooley Business department. He joined Cooley in 1997, and is resident in the Palo Alto office. Mr. Ho practices corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on the formation, financing, and general representation of emerging growth companies and the representation of investors involved with such companies. He counsels public and private company clients in the full range of corporate and securities matters, including public and private financing transactions, employee incentive programs, mergers and acquisitions, strategic corporate relationships, executive hiring, SEC reporting and compliance, and corporate governance.

Mr. Ho counsels companies in a wide range of industries, including clean technologies, life sciences, semiconductors, software, and digital media. He is also a practice leader of the firm’s Clean Energy and Technologies group and has been recognized as one of the Top 25 Clean Tech Lawyers in California by The Daily Journal and named on the Always On Power Players in Genentech list. Mr. Ho received his J.D. in 1997 from the University of San Francisco. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Davis, in 1993 and received a B.S. in Managerial Economics.

Mr. Ho is a member of the State Bar of California and the American Bar Association. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Asia America Multi-Technology Association (AAMA), a leading Silicon Valley technology business network focused on promoting the success of U.S. and Asian technology enterprises. He also serves as a member of the Board of Advisors of C4CUBE, a business incubator that assists in the development of early-stage businesses. He is also a mentor to Green Start, an accelerator for software-powered start-ups at the intersection of cleantech and I.T.
